Craft Cinema Night

Craft Cinema Night

Welcome to crafty heaven!

Craft Cinema Night is a cosy, feel-good night out for creative souls and craft lovers of all kinds. From knitting and crocheting to embroidery and colouring in, you’ll find all types of crafts at Craft Cinema Night. We screen a great mix of classic movies with the lights left on low, so you can keep crafting while you watch. Make sure to sign up to the club to vote on our movie selections.

It’s all about slowing down, meeting like-minded makers, and enjoying a wholesome night out doing what you love. We host regular events across Melbourne, Sydney and beyond, so bring your latest project, grab some popcorn, and settle in for some uninterrupted (and well-deserved) crafting time!

 FAQs

  • My events normally book out, so make sure your craft can fit within your seat.

All kinds of crafts are welcome as long as they won’t leave a mess - that means no paint, sorry!

  • I would love to be able to offer subtitles or captions but the cinemas often aren’t able to obtain a copy of the subtitled film.

I will continue trying to make it happen!

  • I always try and choose a theatre that has lighting bright enough to craft in, but it’s a good idea to bring along a neck light just in case you need it!

Cinemas are not built to have the lights on during the movie so sometimes certain sections of the theatre are brighter than others.

  • No, seats aren’t allocated for a couple of reasons.

First of all it allows you and your friends to book at separate times and still sit together. It also means you can sit with the group you meet at the pre-event meet-up if you attend that.

Secondly, it allows me to upgrade the cinema if there is a large demand for tickets so that more people can come and enjoy the event!

  • Absolutely!

If you’re interested in meeting people, make sure you RSVP to the pre-event meet-up. Details will be in your inbox the night before the show.

  • I always try to book into a wheelchair accessible cinema. Details/confirmation of this will be listed on the individual event page.

For other accessibility related queries, please get in touch as it will likely vary between each event.
